Assistance request - Do's and Dont's with Crypto currency

Hi,
Hoping to connect with someone that has solid experience in using Crypto to deposit and withdraw funds from books.

For example: what percentage hit should I expect on every withdrawal?

Is there a best Crypto site to use (safe, user friendly, and affordable), and do I need to setup a separate wallet as well?

Any best practices or pitfalls to avoid?

I'd be happy to float a little "thank you loot" over paypal/venmo if someone can take 10-20 minutes on a call to help me out.

Kind of jammed up right now... which is forcing me to consider a faster withdrawal method.

I'm far from an expert, but I can tell you the basics.

Don't go transfer directly between the book and the wallet you cash out to your bank with. Use a go between wallet. I use blockchain, but I know there are better ones out there. If you really need money fast you could ask for a bank wire from the book, but expect to pay a high fee.

The fees from bitcoin transactions should be nominal. If they're very high something strange is going on. GL.
